[Call for Translators] MAMEUI64 Plus! 52-Language Pack Project

MAMEUI64 Plus! now features full support for UTF-8 encoding and official gettext (.po/.mo) language packs. We are officially inviting contributors to help translate the interface into 52 different languages!
If you'd like to help global players enjoy the emulator in their native language, join us!

🛠️ Tools & Assets

• Template: Download the attached ui.pot file.
• Recommended Tool: Poedit (poedit.net) — the standard for editing gettext files.
  

📝 Step-by-Step Guide

• Create New Translation: Open Poedit, select "Create new from POT/PO file", and choose my ui.pot.
• Select Language: Pick your target language from the 52 supported options (e.g., French, Japanese, Spanish, etc.).
• Start Translating:
  
  • Keep Placeholders: Do NOT change or remove symbols like %s, %d, or \n.
  • Encoding: Ensure your file is saved in UTF-8 format.
    
• Export Binary: When you save, Poedit will automatically generate a .mo binary file.
  

📂 Installation & Live Preview
Rename your generated file to ui.mo and place it in the corresponding folder:

Path: MAMEUI_Root\language\[Folder_Name]\ui.mo

Best Feature: Real-time Updates!

• Open the emulator, go to Options -> Interface Options -> Language.
• Select your language, and the UI will update instantly. No restart required! This makes it incredibly easy to test and adjust your translations on the fly.

Thanks for the support! Since the gamelist has many entries, I recommend using AI for speed. To keep the code intact, you can use this prompt for AI: "Please translate the following text into Turkish. Translate ONLY the values inside the tags. DO NOT change any code structure, tag names, or symbols. Keep the original format." This makes the process very efficient!

I've updated the Turkish translation. I shortened the strings that didn't fit the UI and translated the previously missed parts. It's now much cleaner.

• folders.mo (Noms des dossiers/catégories)
• arcade.lst (Titres des jeux d'arcade)
• mess.lst (Titres des consoles)
• strings.po (Traduction des triche/cheats - vous pouvez vous référer au pack Chinese_Simplified)

• Add cheat translations into strings.po.
• Translate mess.lst (Software List).
  

You can download the official MAME strings.po and refer to the Chinese_Simplified pack as a template for your modifications.

Is it possible to have an auto resize of the window. For example, some french strings are longer than english strings. and it's troncated.
